John's Story

Picture
When John split up with his girlfriend he found himself sleeping on his friends sofa with nowhere to call home. He was jobless, homeless, and felt worthless. His self esteem was at an all time low and his mental health was rapidly declining.

John was referred to Project 34 where he was supported for 18 months. He met with his keyworker every week and was supported to develop a support plan that helped him look at what he wanted to change in his life and how he could achieve things.

John accessed training, engaged with art classes, started going to the gym and played with Project 34 football team in his spare time.

He moved into Brentwood satellite support service for a short period before moving into his own flat where he lives independently. He's managed to gain employment at a local call centre and often calls into the project, keeping in touch with Kevin, Trisha and his keyworker Johnathan.
